As many as 313 candidates, all of whom donned Indian attire, received their degrees at the 15th convocation at NIPER Convention Centre.

Akanksha Keshri, MTech (Pharm) Pharmaceutical Technology Process Chemistry, and Jhalak, MBA (Pharm) received gold medals, while 10 candidates from the MS (Pharm), MPharm and MTech (Medical Devices) received the silver medals on the occasion.

Prof Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER-Mohali, congratulated all degree recipients and their families.

He said, “The institute remains among the country’s top institutes in terms of research indicators such as average impact factor, H-Index, and citations per faculty. In the QS World Ranking-2024, it was again ranked first in India, 11th in Asia, and 64th globally in the Pharmacy and Pharmacology category.”

Ten faculty members of the institute have been listed among the world’s top two per cent scientists, which may be the highest fraction among any institute within the country or outside. He further mentioned that the institute was working in cutting-edge research areas and had published over 200 publications in international journals of high repute and 15 patents were filed in the last academic year. He further informed that the placements were exceptional with 102 reputed companies visiting the campus and Rs 90% of students were placed with an average salary package of Rs. 6.7 lakh, with the highest package being Rs 27.83 lakh till date.

He said NIPER-Mohali has been allocated a budget of Rs 100 crore by the government for establishing a ‘Center of Excellence in Antiviral and Antibacterial Drug Discovery and Development’.
