A large number of families eligible under the Small Flats Scheme-2006 have failed to get allotment of the flats. As many as 343 families living in different erstwhile colonies had submitted their claim and were found to be eligible for getting a flat under the scheme, but are not coming forward to make a claim.

Unable to trace these missing families, the UT Administration has given a last chance to them. While releasing the list, it stated that that if they do not contact the Chandigarh Housing Board in the next 30 days and complete the formalities, then the claims of such families will be cancelled.
