Chandigarh reported 35 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, taking the union territory’s tally to 887.

More than a quarter of that —302 —are still active cases.

Among Sunday’s cases were a 69-year-old man from Sector 42 and a 6-year-old girl from Sector 48.

Of the rest, Sectors 15, 23 , 24, 30, 32, 35, Maloya, PGI Campus and Raipur Khurd had a case each; Sector 19, 37, Dhanas, Ramdarbar, Mauli Jagran and Manimajra had two cases each; and Sectors 21, 40, 41 and 47 had three cases each.

The UT has recorded 13 deaths from COVID-19.
