Four more persons succumbed to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 331 in the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jasjit Kaur said a 43-year-old man from Kalka, a 44-year-old man from Sector 8, a 72-year-old man from Sector 6 and a 39-year-old woman from Sector 6 died due to the disease.

Meanwhile, 114 persons were diagnosed with Covid, taking the total number of cases in the district to 29,684. As many as 21 persons from Pinjore tested positive for the virus. So far, 28,062 patients have been cured of the disease and there are 1,291 active cases in the district.

A total of 1,014 persons were vaccinated at 25 government vaccination centres across the district today. A total of 2,09,821 doses have been administered in the district so far. While 1,60,703 persons got the first dose, 49,118 received the second dose. —TNS
