Nearly 4,000 runners from across the nation participated in the Green Marathon Season 6 conducted at Sector 6 here. The runners celebrated fitness, community spirit and environmental responsibility. The presence of Army personnel added a spirit of discipline and patriotism, while the participation of wheelchair runners and specially-abled children reinforced the marathon’s message of inclusivity, resilience and equal opportunity.

The run was organised under the banner “SBI Run for a Greener India”. The participants were provided with black alkaline water for better recovery, reducing fatigue and promoting overall well-being. With Chandigarh hosting the second leg, the marathon will now move across 17 cities.
