41 fresh Covid-19 cases in Chandigarh, 2 deaths

Chandigarh on Wednesday reported 41 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths related to the virus.

The total number of cases in the city has reached 61,241 of which 462 are active cases.

The death toll in the city has reached 799 as the two patients suffering from co-morbidities succumbed to the virus.

A total of 63 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Ministry of Health guidelines.

As many as 59,980 people have recovered from the virus so far.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
