Panchkula on Saturday reported 43 new coornavirus cases, taking the district tally to 1,167.

Saturday’s cases included six each from Sector 10 and Sector 20, four each from Raipur Rani and Sector 16, three each from Sector 19, Sector 11 and village Morni, two each from Pinjore, Sector 4, Sector 12A, Sector 15 and Abheypur, and one each from Kalka and Sector 9.

According to the COVID bulletin, health officials are yet to trace four patients tested positive for the virus.

While 443 cases are still active, at least 720 patients have been cured and discharged.

Panchkula has so far tested 25,119 samples for COVID, of which 23,617 have come out negative.
