Forty-nine fresh cases of Covid-19 surfaced in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 12,299. No fatality has been reported in the district.

Of the new cases, 30 came from Mohali (Urban), five each from Banur, Dera Bassi and Kharar, two from Gharuan and one each from Dhakoli and Kurali. Meanwhile, 21 more patients have been cure. —TNS
