5-day faculty development programme launched at PEC
The Centre of Management and Humanities (CMH), at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, today inaugurated a five-day faculty development programme (FDP) on entrepreneurship and new venture creation/entrepreneurship development.
The event aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among faculty members and equip them with tools necessary to guide aspiring student entrepreneurs. This ceremony was attended by Director of PEC, Prof Rajesh Kumar Bhatia as chief guest, along with Amit Singh, Regional Manager, Wadhwani Foundation, Vishal Nair, entrepreneurship educator and lead trainer, Wadhwani Foundation, and Prof Anju, head, CMH.
Prof Anju shared valuable insights on the objectives of the FDP. Amit, the keynote speaker of the day, shared inspiring stories of a few entrepreneurs along with their startup ideas. He remarked that this would create millions of job opportunities, with skill-based learning and digitisation. Nair provided insights into the depths of entrepreneurship. During his session, he introduced WF platforms, venture creation and requirements for certification, through learning resources, venture journey, AI co-pilot, structured reviews (M1/M2/M3), mentoring/ecosystem connects.
Director Prof Bhatia emphasised on becoming the beginners and torch bearers in the field of entrepreneurship.
