5 held, 6 mobile phones, eight bikes recovered

The police have arrested five persons accused of stealing eight bikes, two scooties and six mobile phones. They have been identified as Sohana residents Rinku, Satpal, Maninder Singh, Kandala villager Satish Kumar and Phase-1 resident Sanjay.

In another case, the Mataur police arrested two suspects and recovered two bikes and five mobile phones from them. The accused, identified as Fatehgarh resident Raj Kumar and Mohali resident Gurpreet Singh, have been booked.

Fatehgarh Sahib resident Vikramjit Singh has also been arrested in a bike theft incident.

Khanna resident Sanjeev Kumar has been arrested for snatching a purse of a woman on August 18. The purse containing Rs 2000, a mobile phone and keys of two vehicles was recovered from him.
