Six persons succumbed to Covid during the past 24 hours in the district. Till Thursday, 910 deaths were reported from the district, but the death count shared by private hospitals on Friday added 15 more fatalities to the toll. DC Girish Dayalan asked the Civil Surgeon, Dr Adarshpal Kaur, to coordinate with private hospitals in the district and ask them to submit reports on Covid deaths on time. Meanwhile, 230 fresh Covid cases surfaced in the district and 709 patients recovered. The total number of deaths rose to 931. — TNS
