The city today reported six deaths and 290 fresh cases of Covid-19. The UT toll now stands at 116 and tally 9,796. As many as 2,911 cases are active.

A 30-year-old man from Mani Majra suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest at the GMCH-32. A 40-year-old man from Sector 52 succumbed to the virus at the GMSH-16.

A 47-year-old man from Dadu Majra died at the PGI. He was suffering from chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension and had tested positive for Covid.

A 54-year-old man from Mauli Jagran, a Covid patient, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest at the GMSH-16. A 58-year-old man from Mauli Jagran, a diabetic, died at the GMSH-16. A 60-year-old woman from Sector 26, also a diabetic, breathed her last at the PGI. A total of 351 patients got better of the infection today and were discharged. Among them were patients who had completed 10 days of home isolation and were asymptomatic. — TNS
