Chandigarh, March 2

Chandigarh on Tuesday reported 67 more coronavirus cases, taking the infection tally to 21,906, according to a medical bulletin.

The death of a 70-year-old woman took the toll to 354, as per the bulletin.

The number of active cases rose from 430 on Monday to 472 on Tuesday, it said.

A total of 24 patients were discharged after they recovered from the infection, taking the number of cured people to 21,080, it said.

A total of 2,58,184 samples have been taken for testing so far and of them, 2,35,319 tested negative while reports of 117 were awaited, the bulletin said. PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
