7 alumni of Mohali institutes in Army, IAF

Four were commissioned into the Indian Army and three into the Air Force.
Those commissioned into the Indian Army are Gurkirat Singh from Amritsar, who is the son of an ex-serviceman from the Corps of Engineers; Barjinder Singh from Gurdaspur, whose father is a school principal; Sukhdev Singh Gill, also from Gurdaspur, the son of a retired PSPCL junior engineer; and Vinayak Sharma from Pathankot, whose parents are in the private sector.
Having studied at MRSAFPI, they are part of the 157th Regular Course at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, the passing out parade of which was reviewed by General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff today.
Another MRSAFPI alumi, Kush Pandeya from Ludhiana, was commissioned as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force from the 216th Course at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad. His father is a retired IAF Group Captain while his mother a serving Lieutenant Colonel in the Military Nursing Service.
Two alumni of MBAFPI — Charanpreet Kaur and Mehak Dahiya — also passed out from AFA as Flying Officers. Charanpreet’s father, who hails from Kurali, is a driver by profession, while Mehak is the daughter of a government teacher from Mohali.
Congratulating all the officers, the Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister, Aman Arora, exhorted them to work even harder in their careers as service officers and make the state of Punjab proud.
