During investigation in snatching cases, the police came to know that snatchers and vehicle thieves use duplicate and tampered number plates, making it difficult to identify them.

During the inspection, the police teams detained nine youths and interrogated them regarding the misuse of number plates. All crime police teams will conduct checks on two-wheelers in the city under the campaign to track down criminals.

“The Panchkula Police will continue this checking campaign to maintain law and order in the city. Citizens are urged to keep their vehicle documents in order and report any suspicious activities to the police immediately,” added the spokesperson.
