72 teaches promoted as lecturers in Chandigarh

The backlog since 2018 of 17 SC and six PwD candidates till date has been cleared in this list, which also includes 49 teachers in the general category.
It is pertinent to mention that the department had already issued appointment letters to 68 NTTs last month and the handing over of appointment letters to direct recruits (lecturers) is already scheduled for February 11.
“Promotion in any job and especially for teachers is essential for the growth of both the individual educators and the overall educational environment. They promote a cycle of improvement, retention and excellence in teaching... the department has commenced the long overdue promotions in the teaching cadre of school education in UT Chandigarh,” said Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar, Director School Education, UT. —TNS
