A total of 743 more persons roaming in the city were rounded up by the Chandigarh police on Wednesday, taking the three days figures to 1764.

The police said out of 743 persons, 292 were rounded-up between 7 pm to 7 am on March 24/25 intervening night. Meanwhile, 13 were booked under section188 of the IPC for violating curfew orders during those hours.

They said that during last 72 hours total 773 vehicles were detained and 79 were impounded in different parts of the city. Meanwhile, in total 61 persons have been booked under section 188 IPC.

The police officials said that four patrolling teams have been constituted under each police station to patrol in their respective areas.

The police registered another case under sections 269, 270 of the Indian Penal Code at Sector 34 police station.
