With another Covid-19 positive case surfacing in Mohali, the total number of positive cases in the district has gone up to five.

Civil Surgeon Dr Manjeet Singh said an 80-year-old woman, a resident of Phase V, tested positive for coronavirus and was kept at the isolation ward of the Civil Hospital in Kharar. He said the woman was the landlady of the 27-year-old woman, who had tested Covid positive. He said a total of three samples had been sent for testing to the PGI, Chandigarh. Two samples sent earlier have tested negative for Covid.

It is pertinent to mention here that the 27-year-old woman is an employee and friend of the Mohali-based showroom owner’s 23-year-old daughter, who was the first to be declared as Covid positive case in Chandigarh. The 27-year-old had gone to the Amritsar airport to pick her friend after her return from the United Kingdom.
