An 81-year-old resident, Harbans Lal Gupta, accused senior Revenue Department officials of harassment in a prolonged land compensation dispute dating back over a decade. Gupta alleged that despite owning 8 kanal 4 marla of land in Mauja Bagwali, only 19 marla was transferred to him after a government acquisition in 2013. When he raised objections, he said, his land mutation was cancelled and an FIR was lodged against him in 2017.
