In a bid to contain the surge in Covid cases, Northern Railway, Ambala Division, organised special vaccination drive at the second class waiting hall of the Ambala Cantt railway station. The drive aimed to inoculate maximum number of eligible people at workplaces.

In all, 907 staff was given Covishield vaccines at the Ambala Cantt railway station. Divisional Railway Manager GM Singh lauded the medical staff for the vaccination drive for the benefit of the staff and their families. He said the frontline staff of all departments, including coolies and vendors, working at the Ambala Cantt and nearby stations got their first dose of the vaccine.

All elaborate arrangements were made at the Ambala railway station for the inoculation drive. A help desk and registration counter was also set up to enable beneficiaries register themselves for the vaccination on the occasion.

Employees and their families, who were in the 18 and 45 plus age groups’ got vaccinated after registration on the CoWIN portal during the drive.
