The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a protest against BJP-led Municipal Corporation and the UT Administration at Dhanas Milk Colony here today. The protesters expressed anger over broken roads, accumulated garbage, neglected parks and the BJP’s unfulfilled promises to the people.

City AAP president Vijaypal Singh said the deplorable condition of Dhanas reflected the BJP failure. He stated that AAP councillors had earlier raised this issue in the MC House, demanding that V5 and V6 roads, which directly led to residential areas, be repaired on a priority. However, instead of addressing the problem, the BJP Mayor, under political pressure, used marshals to attack AAP councillors, many of whom were injured and dragged out of the House. The protest was led by Kuldeep Singh Kuki, state co-secretary of the party. Several other leaders of the party and residents took part in the protest.
