Mohali: In Nayagaon, a scuffle broke out between AAP and SAD volunteers after which rumours of a booth-capturing bid floated on the social media. DSP (SD Kharar 2) Amanpreet Singh said, “A complaint was received following which the police verified the claim. The person who posted the message on the social media has apologised. Extra force was deputed in the area.” —

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
