The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the families of constable Sukhdarshan and Home Guards jawan Rajesh, who were killed while performing duty at a naka on March 14, be given ₹1 crore ex gratia each.

City AAP president Vijay Pal Singh has submitted a proposal to the Director General of Police (DGP) and other authorities concerned in this regard and urged them to release the financial relief at the earliest. He stated that the AAP government in Punjab gave ₹1 crore ex gratia to families of police personnel who died in line of duty, and a similar practice was followed by the previous Delhi government.

Three persons, including the police constable and the Home Guards jawan, were killed around 2.30 am on Friday when a speeding car rammed into a vehicle at the police  naka on the Zirakpur-Chandigarh barrier.
