Abhinav Chaudhari and Avi Aggarwal won title in their respective categories on the concluding day of the Roots All India Tennis Association (AITA) CS(7) National Ranking Championship today.

In the boys’ Under-16 final, Punjab’s Chaudhari faced a tough resistance from eighth seed Shaurya Sharma of Uttar Pradesh. He won the first set 6-4, but went down in the next as Sharma bounced back with a 1-6 verdict.

The final set was played head-to-head, until Chaudhari logged a 7-6(5) victory to win the title.

In the boys’ Under-18 final, meanwhile, Aggarwal of Uttar Pradesh stunned third seed Haryana’s Advit Tiwari 6-2 6-2.
