67-yr-old woman dies in Panchkula

Panchkula: One more person succumbed to Covid-19 in the district, taking the toll to 378. A 67-year-old woman of the MDC, Sector 4, who was suffering from brain tumour and hypertension, died due to Covid. Meanwhile, no fresh case surfaced on Tuesday, keeping the tally unchanged at 30,739 in the district. A total of 2,244 persons were vaccinated against Covid-19 at one private and 22 government vaccination centres across the district on Tuesday and 1,686 of them had got their second dose. — TNS

Two test positive in Mohali district

Mohali: Two new cases of Covid-19 surfaced in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 68,749. Meanwhile, no death was reported from the district till Tuesday evening while two patients defeated the virus. Among the new cases, one each came from Dera Bassi and Dhakoli. No new case was reported from Mohali, Kharar, Boothgarh, Lalru, Kurali, Gharuan and Banur. There are 28 active cases in the district. — TNS
