Chandigarh: In the opening match of Ashwini Luthra Memorial Cricket Tournament, Adda Cricket XI, Dera Bassi, defeated Livewire Coaching Centre (LWCC) by 53 runs. Batting first, the Dera Bassi outfit posted 160/6 in 20 overs. In reply, LWCC was bundled out for 117 runs in 17.5 overs. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
