The UT Administration today celebrated the 97th birth anniversary of Padma Shri Nek Chand, the creator of Rock Garden, at the memorial in Rock Garden today in the presence of Anuj Saini, son of Nek Chand, and others. The celebration started with the lighting of diyas. Floral tributes were paid at the wax statue of Nek Chand by chief guest Nitin Kumar Yadav, Home Secretary-cum-Chairman, Rock Garden Society, and other guests.

Certificates were given by the chief guest to the winners of an art craft and painting competition. The participants were from various schools and it was organised by the Rock Garden Society.
