Members of the District Bar Association of Chandigarh abstained from work today in protest against police action against one of their colleagues. The call to observe no-work day was given by the District Bar Association.

President of the Bar Association Ashok Chauhan said the association condemned police action and called for withdrawal of the FIR filed against the advocate.

The police had registered a case against the advocate when he visited Faida village to mediate in a land issue.
