Following reports of miscreants harassing female students near the NIFT campus in Sector 23, the police have stepped up security around the institute.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta informed that police patrolling in the area has been intensified, with special bike riders deployed. A four-member Durga Shakti Rapid Force team, including two women officers, will conduct daily rounds. Women Police Station SHO Rajesh Kumari and Chandimandir SHO Rampal are meeting students, shopkeepers and hostel wardens to reassure them of police support.

Monitoring has also been strengthened in parking areas, cafés, and other crowded points. Students have been advised to report any incident of harassment or inappropriate behaviour at 112.
