  • A case was registered against the three suspects – Gaurav, his mother Radha, and Bhuri of Ambala Cantonment – under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC.
  • Ambala Cantonment SHO Vijay Kumar said the suspects would be produced before a court on Tuesday. “The exact reason behind the crime is a matter of investigation,” he said.

The suspects have been identified as Gaurav, his mother Radha, and Bhuri of Ambala Cantonment.

In his complaint to the police, Mohit, a resident of Ambala Cantonment, said around 11.30 pm yesterday, his brother Arjun reached home and informed that some boys had thrashed him. “I went to Kabari Chowk along with my brother and aunt to check and found Gaurav standing there with a knife in his hand, while his mother Radha was also standing with bricks in her hand. Bhuri was holding a stick, while an unknown youth was also there with a stick in his hand. After seeing us, they started beating us up and Gaurav stabbed Arjun with a knife. As we raised the alarm, a large number of people gathered there, but the suspects fled from the spot. We rushed Arjun to the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment, where he was declared brought dead,” Mohit said.
