A timely innings of 101 off 121 balls by Amrit Lubana powered Sukhna Zone to a commanding total of 305 against Terrace Zone at the ongoing UTCA Men’s Senior Multi-Day Cricket Tournament here.

Lubana was well-supported by Karan Singh (62) and Nishunk Birla (44) while Sukrant Sharma stood out with the ball by claiming 3 for 30.

In reply, Terrace Zone staged a solid fightback with unbeaten openers Arjun Azad (62) and Sanchit Sahu (52) putting up an unbeaten 123-run stand before the stumps were drawn.

In another fixture, Rose Zone posted 338 runs against Rock Zone, led by contributions from opener Nikhil Thakur (63) and skipper Shivam Bhambri (46).

Meanwhile, the UTCA Women’s Senior T20 continued with a close contest where Terrace Zone edged past Rock Zone by 14 runs. Opting to bat first, Terrace Zone scored 108/7 in their 20 overs with top scorer Palak Rana (53). In response, Rock Zone were restricted to 94/7.

In another match, Sukhna Zone defeated Rose Zone by six wickets. Jyoti Kumari (3/1) and Arshbani Kaur (3/15) ran through the Rose Zone batting, dismissing them for just 67. Later, Suman (27) guided Sukhna Zone to victory in the 19th over with four wickets to spare.
