Cheema’s team comprising amateurs Rajinder Gupta, Chairman of Trident Group; Mohammed Suleman and Yogesh Deshmukh put up a score of 57.
Professional Mani Ram and his team comprising amateurs Rajiv Kapoor, Rajiv Pandey and Ravinesh Kumar were the first runners-up with a score of 57.8.
Another Chandigarh professional Yuvraj Sandhu and his team comprising amateurs Capt Mohanbir Singh, Bhavkaran Singh and AB Singh were second runners-up with a score of 57.9.
The contest for the closest to the pin on hole no. 8 was won by Udayveer Singh who landed it within 8 feet and 4 inches of the pin.
The contest for the closest to the pin on hole no. 11 was won by Tarun Lehal who landed it within 4 feet and 7 inches of the pin. Ram Kumar won the contest for the straightest drive on hole no. 5. His drive landed 4 inches from the centre of the fairway. Abhiraaj Singh Aulakh won the contest for the longest drive on hole no. 16. His drive landed at a distance of 290 yards.
Meanwhile, in the monthly medal round, Dr GS Kochhar won the straightest drive event and Yashvir Dogra won the nearest to the pin event.
In the women’s category, Vijay Wadhwan (70) and Saguna Jain (72) claimed the top two positions, while in the men’s above 85 years ( 9 holes) event, Col JS Kang (35) and CDR JS Dhillon (37) won the medals.
Col Harpreet Singh (31) won the 75 years and above event, followed by Col Joga Singh Gill (32). In the handicap (19-24) category, Brig AS Gill (73) claimed the title, followed by Col Rajesh Punj (75), whereas in the (10-18) event, Ramsubhag (65) and Jazzy Sihota (67) won medals. In the (0-9) category, Ramnik Singh Tiwana (69) and Ashwinder Singh (70) won top two positions. HS Kang was named overall gross winner with a score of 70.
