Anindita is married to Dr SK Raju, Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.

The tenure of the incumbent MC Commissioner, KK Yadav, who is on a deputation in Chandigarh, is coming to an end this month. Amid a Covid surge, a three-year tenure of Yadav, a Punjab-cadre IAS officer of the 2003 batch, was earlier extended for three months.
