Annual prize distribution function organized
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, organized a two-day annual prize distribution function, appropriately titled ‘Medha Manyata Divas’. It was an endeavor to acknowledge and award students in the 10th and 12th grades for their glorious achievements in the school examination for the academic session 2023–24. This year, nearly 340 students were awarded. Major Sandeep Sankhla, the School Time Achievement Award was given to Shaurya Chaudhary and Aradhya Vashisht of Class XII, including a citation and a cash award. The most coveted Bhavan’s pride – all-around best student award in memory of former chairman Kulwant Singh was bestowed upon Rachit Ahuja of Class XII. The school annual magazine Medha Manthan was released by Vice-Chairpersons AN Mathur and Brig Kiran Krishan and other distinguished members of the management committee.
Shishu Niketan Public School, Mohali
The school celebrated Yellow Color Day on its premises with pre-primary students. To make the children understand the significance of yellow, various colorful activities, including drawing, coloring, paper craft, etc., were conducted in a lively, vibrant, and high-spirited environment.
KB DAV School, Chandigarh
KB DAV-7 celebrated its Annual Recognition Day with great vim and vigour to recognize the school students’ excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. The ceremony commenced with lamp-lighting by the Chief Guest Justice Pritam Pal. Academic and co-curricular awards were given away to the meritorious and exceptional students across the classes. As many as 19 learners of the school, who made a distinct mark in academics and co-curricular were awarded trophies and certificates. As many as 101 students from pre-primary to Class XI received books as tokens.
St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula
Inter-School Debate Competition was organised by the school on the topic “Will expanded use of Artificial Intelligence be good for humanity”. This competition witnessed a participation of twenty four students from twelve schools of the tricity region. The competition was a huge success and the trophy was bagged by St Xavier’s High School, Mohali.
Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh
The induction ceremony of the Umeed Club was held in the school auditorium. The ceremony commenced with a prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp and an elysian prayer dance. The highlight of the ceremony was the induction of the new office-bearers of the club. The president, vice president, secretary, and board of directors were formally inducted, ready to lead the club’s initiatives with vigor and dedication.
PML S D Public School, Chandigarh
Chirag Bali, a student of Class XII (Commerce) of PML S D Public School, Sector 32C, Chandigarh, participated in BGIS 2024 organised by Krafton India Esports in Hyderabad as a team manager and bagged the 3rd position. The team was awarded with a cheque worth Rs 20,00,000 and medals.
