Chandigarh: Livewire Coaching Centre will organise Jai Hind T20 Cricket Tournament at Divya Public School, Sector 44, in March. The matches will be played on league-cum-knockout basis, the organisers said here on Wednesday. Any institute, organisation or registered body from the tricity can participate in the tournament. The interested teams need to register for the championship before February 29. TNS

Mohali: Krishna and Anjali claimed gold medals in the men’s and women’s long jump competitions, respectively, during the annual sports meet at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, here on Wednesday. In the men’s high jump contest, Akhil claimed the gold medal. Shikha topped the podium in the women’s category. Shubham led the field in the men’s shot put competition, while Kavita bagged the gold medal in the women’s division. In discus throw, Arshpinder Singh and Kavita topped the podium in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively. Vikas won the men’s javelin gold and Priyanka dominated the field in the women’s category. TNS
