Army Chief visits Western Command Headquarters

The Chief of the Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, arrived on an official visit to Headquarters, Western Command, at Chandimandir today, where he was briefed on operational preparedness of the theatre as well as administrative and logistical aspects by General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, Lt Gen RP Singh.
While interacting with troops stationed at Chandimandir, Gen Rawat commended them for their professionalism and undaunted spirit of executing their assigned tasks. He complimented them for the excellent work done in all spheres.
The Army Chief also stressed upon the need to continue to train hard and be prepared to stand up to any challenge coming their way. He called upon soldiers to keep themselves abreast with latest trends in information technology, emerging threats and counter measures. He also reiterated that ethos, discipline and efficiency of the Army should always serve as an example to the rest of the nation.
