Arshia Goswami lifted a total weight of 82kg to win the gold medal in the girls’ subjunior 44kg weight group, at the Chandigarh Weightlifting Tournament organised by the UT Sports Department at the Sector 42 Sports Complex today.
Tania (52kg) claimed the second position, while Lovepreet Kaur (40kg) bagged third position. In the subjunior -48kg category, Aarushi Verma (130kg), Harpreet Kaur (40kg) and Jasnoor Kaur (33kg) won medals, while in the junior age group, Aarushi (130kg), Khushboo (38kg) Manjot Kaur (27kg) were medal winners.

In the subjunior -53kg category, Fatima (39kg) and Arshdeep (38kg) claimed the top two positions, and in the junior event, Annu (72kg) and Arshdeep kaur (38kg) bagged first and second position. Shagun (94kg), Riya (45kg) and Bhavya Arora (42kg) claimed first three positions in the subjunior -58kg weight category.
In the subjunior -63kg group, Kangna (101kg) and Anjali Duhan (84kg) claimed the two top positions. Bhoomiza Vaid lifted 45kg to win the subjunior -69kg gold medal,
