Muskan’s family was inconsolable after the incident. They have got a call from Muskan when she was trapped in the fire. The girl’s uncle who is in Chandigarh informed that Muskan made a call to her father in Hisar. “As the call got disconnected, his father informed me about the incident and I rushed to the spot,” Muskan’s uncle told the media in Chandigarh.

A resident of Adarsh Nagar near railway station, Muskan’s father Rajiv Mehta is practicing advocate in Hisar District Bar. Inconsolable after hearing of the daughter’s death, Mehta said he will leave for Chandigarh.
