Panchkula: The Panchkula Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers on Wednesday continued their protest at Major Sandeep Sankhla Memorial Park in Sector 2 here. They had been on strike since August 7 in support of their demands that include that the government should treat them like its employees, they should be given a minimum income of Rs24000 per month and risk allowance of Rs4000. “If our demands are not met, we will intensify our protest,” CITU district secretary Lacchi Ram Sharma said. tns
