Basaula School defeated Khatoli School 32-12, followed by another win by Bataur School over Mouli School 25-23. Ratte Wali School defeated Bataur School 34-23, followed by another 28-14 win over Tharwa village, while Batola village defeated Surajpur 23-21.

Grida village also moved ahead by defeating Sultanpur 26-17, while Mouli defeated Sabilpur 32-24. Kiratpur overpowered Ratte Wali 28-19, Barwala defeated Karanpur 33-14, Rampur Jangi overpowered Beed Nagar 32-20, Shyamtoo defeated Kanoli 24-21 and Khatoli outplayed Billa 23-05 in some other matches.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
