The AUCT delegation comprising Prof Tarun Ghai, president; Amritpal Singh, joint secretary, and members Rohit, Jaswinder Singh and Gurjinder Singh requested the vice chancellor to consider the cancellation of youth festivals this year in view of the havoc wreaked by floods so that the time and energy may be used for making up the academic loss.

It was further stated that in some affiliated colleges, the candidates, who are not approved Associated Professors as per the UGC Guidelines 2010, were working as principals.

The AUCT has already submitted to the university the details with proofs, the delegation said, adding that the ineligible principals should be terminated with the immediate effect.
