Badminton meet from Aug 1

Chandigarh, July 18

The Chandigarh Badminton Association (CBA) will organise the Chandigarh State Sub-Junior (boys & girls) under-13, under-15 years and under-17 championships from August 1 to 4 at the Sector 38 sports complex.

“The association will also select local sub-junior teams which will represent Chandigarh in the national championships,” said Surinder Mahajan, general secretary, CBA.

The interested players can confirm their entries for the above championships on a prescribed form available with the coaches concerned at all local badminton coaching centres in Chandigarh before July 27.

Panchkula championship

The Panchkula District Badminton Association will organise the 18th Ashwani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship from July 19 to 21 at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Sector 3. The championship will be played in various categories — U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19 (men and women), masters 35, 40 and upto 70.
