The Punjab and Haryana High Court today granted regular bail to Manish Gupta, arrested in an alleged property fraud case. Gupta was one of the four accused arrested by the police in the case registered on March 2.

The order by Justice Sudip Ahluwalia came on Gupta’s plea against the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Justice Ahluwalia pronounced the order after hearing senior advocate Jagjit S Bedi with Sunil Sihag at length on the petitioner’s behalf. The detailed order was yet to be uploaded. The status on the High Court website said the petition stood disposed of. Gupta’s stand all along has been that he has nothing to do with the entire case.

Two other petitions for anticipatory bail filed by Saurabh Gupta and Arvind Singla are pending before the Bench for May 26.
