The city reported 14 new cases of Covid today, taking the total count to 233. All cases have been reported from Bapu Dham Colony.

Three of the 14 cases reported today were detected by the on-site sampling centre in Bapu Dham where teams from the GMSH-16 and the GMCH-32 are taking samples of suspected patients. Among those found positive are two women, aged 38 and 36, and an 18-year-old boy. They belong to one family and are community contacts of a Covid patient in the locality.

Besides, a 32-year-old man and 17-year-old boy from a family have tested positive for the virus. A 24-year-old youth also reported positive for Covid. He is a family contact of a Covid patient.

Three boys, aged 12, 13 and 17, a 15-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman from a family in Bapu Dham and a 24-year-old youth, a 42-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl from another house have also been found infected with the virus are from one house and other three are from another house.

As many as 115 samples have been taken at the on-site sampling centre in the past two days, 57 by the GMSH and 58 by the GMCH.

Meanwhile, a two-month-old girl, a resident of Sector 25, defeated the virus and was discharged from the PGI today.
