Hockey Bengal staged a remarkable comeback to hold Uttar Pradesh to a 3-3 draw after trailing till the last quarter of their Division ‘A’ match in the Hockey India Senior Women National Championship at Tau Devi Lal Stadium here today. Mizoram blanked Tamil Nadu 6-0.

In the day’s first match, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh shared the points after their stalemate in the Division ‘A’ game. Sakshi Shukla (24th minute) scored the opening goal for Uttar Pradesh before Hina Bano (32nd) and Anjali Mahto (51st) made it 3-0. Rohita Minz (48th minute) opened the scoring for Bengal at the start of the fourth quarter giving her side a change to fight in the match, while Selestina Horo (52nd) and Anisha Dungdung (56th) ensured an entertaining draw in the end.

Mizoram blanked Tamil Nadu 6-0 in their Division ‘A’ tie. Devika Sen (8th, 27th), Dimple (1st), Lalthantluangi (2nd), Deepika (26th) and Antim (45th) were the goal-scorers in Mizoram’s convincing win.
