An exhibition showcasing remarkable works of eminent contemporary painters from Japan was today inaugurated by UT Adviser Rajeev Verma at Government Museum and Art Gallery in Sector 10 here.

Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, in collaboration with Kasagi Art Gallery Japan, was organising the exhibition titled “Beyond Japan”. The exhibition celebrates the interconnectedness of humanity, echoing the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – seeing the world as a family.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
