The deceased's wife, children and a number of migrant workers reached the spot. Meanwhile, passersby caught the truck driver from the spot and handed him over to the police.

Traffic was disrupted for some time as the deceased's family staged a dharna on the road seeking justice for the victim. They also accused the police of coming late to pick up the body.

The IT City police station SHO, Amandeep Kamboj, said further action was being taken.
