A 20-year-old youth was killed after an unknown vehicle hit his motorcycle near Dullat Resort on Airport Road here yesterday.

The victim, identified as Vishal Bansal of Mata Gujri Enclave in Kharar, was studying in a private college here, said the police.

The incident occurred around 11 am when the victim was going towards Mohali on his motorcycle. A vehicle hit him and sped away, leaving behind the victim in a pool of blood. Bystanders informed the police following which the victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Phase 6 from where doctors referred him to the GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh, where he died last night.

A case was registered at the Balongi police station. — TNS
