A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a mishap near the Sector 22/23 light point late on Tuesday night.

The youth, identified as Amit of Sector 49, crashed into the rear of a stationary SUV waiting at a red light. The victim, who worked at a salon in Sector 15, was returning home when the accident occurred around 10.30 pm.

A PCR unit rushed Amit to the GMSH in Sector 16. Witnesses noted that despite the strong impact, he showed no visible injuries and was even able to speak normally upon arrival at the hospital. However, his condition deteriorated sharply within minutes.

Doctors referred him to the PGI where he was declared brought dead.
