A 34-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an unknown truck in the Industrial Area, Phase I, last night.

The victim has been identified as Gursahibjit Singh. A PCR vehicle patrolling the area found the victim lying injured and people gathered at the spot near the SDM office in the Industrial Area.

The PCR vehicle rushed the victim to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police said the victim’s identity was established through documents in his purse. He was a JCB driver.

The police have registered a case against the unknown truck driver at the Industrial Area police station.
